  • Most of all...LEARN how to continue this lifestyle for the rest of your life!
3 super foods you should try and eat everyday are spinach, blueberries, and salmon.
Try replacing butter and margarine with olive oil to avoid saturated fats and get good fats.
Most salad dressings have more oil than any other ingredient (in other words, lots of fat!)
Try eating mostly whole grains-replace your whites with browns (rice, bread, pasta etc.)
Avoid trans fats!! They have been linked to heart disease. Check all of your food labels.
Eat a lot of fruits and veggies. They are high in antioxidants, fiber, and water, and low in calories!
Be careful getting your fruit servings from fruit juice and dried fruit, they can be very high in added sugars.
If a diet plan you see on TV sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There isn’t a cure all for being healthy and in shape.
Eat lots of soluble and insoluble fiber to help you feel full and fend off heart disease.
Try replacing red meat with other proteins like turkey, chicken, fish, and soy.
Any physical activity is better than none! Take the stairs, walk around the block, walk to the school to pick up the kids.
Don’t like running? Try swimming for a whole body work out! (Plus it is easier on your knees!)
Keep in mind, alcohol is high in calories!
Cut back your soda intake, it is high in calories and doesn’t offer any valuable nutrients.
Having a personal trainer can help you stay motivated, dedicated, and get you better results.
